Sean McDonald
President and CEO, Precision Therapeutics
Sean McDonald joined the company in September 2000 and serves as President and CEO. Previously, Sean founded Automated Healthcare in 1992, developing the first robotics-based solution to hospital pharmacy management. Automated Healthcare was successfully acquired by McKesson Corporation in 1996. While at McKesson, he held the position of Group President over several operating companies with annualized revenues in excess of $250 million. Sean has been instrumental in recruiting and developing a successful management team to Precision in the areas of Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Sales and Clinical Trials. Sean holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Florida.

Stanley N. Lapidus
President and CEO at SynapDx Corp
Stanley Lapidus is the founding President and CEO of SynapDx Corp, a company formed to develop and commercialize blood-based tests for the early detection of autism spectrum disorders. Prior to SynapDx, he founded three public companies. In 2003, Mr. Lapidus co-founded and served as CEO, President and Chairman of Helicos BioSciences Corporation. Helicos developed the world's first commercial platform to sequence individual molecules of DNA. In February 1995 he founded EXACT Sciences Corporation, a company that develops non-invasive, DNA-based methods for early detection of colorectal cancer. Prior to EXACT, Mr. Lapidus founded Cytyc Corporation and was President and CEO from 1987 through 1994. In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Mr Lapidus holds academic appointments in the pathology department at Tufts University Medical School, as well as at MIT's Sloan School of Management. He earned a BSEE from Cooper Union in 1970 and currently serves as a member of its board of trustees. Mr. Lapidus holds over 30 issued US patents.

Joel P. Adams
General Partner, Adams Capital Management, Inc.
Joel founded ACM in 1994 and led its growth to $815 million of capital under management. Joel's domain expertise includes distribution systems, medical analogy diagnostics, information technologies and web enabled services. Prior to forming ACM, he served as Vice President and General Partner of Fostin Capital Corporation, a Pittsburgh-based, family-owned investment firm from 1986 to 1994. Joel spent the first seven years of his career directing nuclear power plant sea trials for General Dyanamics, along with managing chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams. He holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from SUNY Buffalo and a M.S. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Joel is a Trustee of CMU and a Director of several private companies.

Jeff Crisan
Managing Director, Bain Capital Ventures
Mr. Crisan is a Managing Director of Bain Capital Ventures. He has been with Bain Capital Ventures since its founding in 2000. Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Mr. Crisan worked in Bain Capital’s Private Equity group from 1998 to 2000, and from 1995 to 1998, Mr. Crisan was a consultant with Bain & Company. He currently serves on the company boards of Accelecare Wound Centers, Boston Heart Lab, Enclarity, Liberty Dialysis, MedeAnalytics, Nanosphere, and The Princeton Review. Mr. Crisan received an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.

David Hirsch
Founder and Principal, Longitude Capital
David Hirsch is a founder and Principal of Longitude Capital. He focuses on investments in biotechnology. From 2005 to 2006, Dr. Hirsch was a Vice President of Pequot Ventures where he worked in the life sciences practice. Prior to Pequot, Dr. Hirsch was an Engagement Manager in the pharmaceutical practice of McKinsey & Company. While at McKinsey, he worked with many large pharmaceutical companies across a range of projects including clinical and commercial strategies, M&A evaluations, portfolio prioritization and managed care strategy. He is a board observer at InfaCare Pharmaceuticals. He is also actively involved with Longitude’s investments in Amarin (NASDAQ: AMRN) and Corcept Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CORT), as well as prior investments in Horizon Therapeutics and Sequenom (NASDAQ: SQNM). Dr. Hirsch holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.D. from Harvard Medical School and a B.A. in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University.

Kevin Johnson
Former President, CEO and Chairman of DIANON
Kevin Johnson was President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of DIANON Systems, Inc. (NASQ) until January 2003, when DIANON was acquired by Laboratory Corporation of America (NYSE). DIANON is a preeminent cancer diagnostic services company offering specialized anatomic pathology and molecular genetic testing services to physicians nationwide. Prior to joining DIANON in 1996, Mr. Johnson was employed by Quest Diagnostics for 18 years, having held numerous management and executive level positions during that period.

Richard S. Kollender
Partner, Quaker BioVentures
Mr. Kollender joined Quaker BioVentures as a Principal in early 2003 and was promoted to Partner in 2005. Previously, he worked at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he held positions in sales, marketing and worldwide business development. Mr. Kollender also served as an investment manager at S.R. One, as well as an active board observer for several of the portfolio companies. Mr. Kollender began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick in Philadelphia, and spent six years in public practice. He is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Kollender holds a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College and an M.B.A. and Health Administration Policy degrees with Honors from the University of Chicago. Mr. Kollender sits on the board of directors of Precision Therapeutics, Transport Pharmaceuticals, and TargetRx, and is also an active board observer for several other Quaker BioVentures portfolio companies.
